The world’s tallest bridge, with a deck 625m above the water, has opened to Liuzhi–Anglong Expressway traffic in south west China.
The Huajiang Gorge Bridge in Guizhou Province is 2.9km long. The main span is a steel truss suspension bridge, 1.4km in length. The new structure shortens the time needed to cross the gorge from an hour to a couple of minutes.

The main truss was manufactured by China Railway Baoji Bridge Engineering Group; and China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group's Bridge Research Institute supervised construction (link opens in new tab).
